From April 14 to 18, 2025, the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel” in Tirana, Albania, hosted our colleague Annarita Boschetti from the International Mobility Office of the University of Siena, Italy. The colleague’s mobility took place within the framework of Erasmus+ ICM (International Credit Mobility), the Erasmus mobility programme carried out with partner countries. This marks the first mobility of an administrative staff member from the University of Siena to the Albanian institution.
Why did you choose this university, and what does being involved in this mobility program mean to you?
Participating in this training mobility at your university has many meanings for me. First of all, it’s conducted under Erasmus ICM, and thus with a country that is not part of the European Union. This is a very important experience to see how partners work in our same sector. It’also my first time in Albania, a beatufil country that I definitely want to return to.
How do you find Tirana, and how did you welcome this collaboration?
Tirana is a very welcoming city where I feel completely at ease. The collaboration is an important growth opportunity for me, and although this is not my first international mobility, it is my first with Erasmus+ ICM. Furthermore, I am a person with a visual disability and , with my professional and training experience, I want to contribute to a topic that represents important goal in all sectors. I am talking about inclusion. Inclusion in studies, training, and work is a constant challenge where every experience brings further insights for reflection and implementation of good practices.
What has this experience taught you?
I had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills. Every mobility is a professional and personal enrichment. A great opportunity for growth and improvement.
