The Erasmus programme allowed more than 3 millions of European students to spend part of their study period abroad, in another HEI in Europe.

Erasmus + opened up this great opportunity to individuals and to organizations coming from other parts of the world, outside the European Union.

Thanks to the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility the European HEIs can ask for funds, through their Erasmus National Agency, to implement mobility activities with other HEIs in partner countries all over the world in order to send and receive students and staff.

The Erasmus + ICM Programme has the following objectives:

  • Promoting excellence in European Higher Education;
  • Enhancing transversal skills for the job market;
  • Spread and improve the use of new technologies;
  • Promoting social inclusion;

Improving quality in teaching and in professional skills.
